A store-within-a-store we sell books about butterflies, children’s books and gardening books about butterflies, nets, equipment, and themed tote bags ant tees.  This all comes with the knowledge and experience you’ll need to get started building a butterfly garden or starting a hobby or just learning about our native butterflies.  A seasonal interest, this spring 2010 we will include a whole new line of goods and more complete supply of gardening  plants and information.

The butterfly store, and Barb and Dick’s florist along with the pet frogs etc, remain a tribute to a shopping experience and personal local character.

Barb and Dick started the shop in 1994 after a combined 41 years of experience in the industry here in Milwaukee.

With a creative and out-side –the-box approach our interest in wild flowers have led us to suppliers that offer the unique variety of flowers and have given us the signature look we are known for.  Our customers have enjoyed a long time of personal service and can give us the occasion and let us create the individual floral arrangement that is creative and unique.

Our corporate customers have long trusted us to arrange and deliver just the right thing and we have the ability to incorporate our natural look into any occasion.

Our work has been printed in Backyard Living Magazine numerous times. And in 2006, Milwaukee Magazine’s savvy shopper writes, “the city boasts many outstanding florists, including…..   Barb and Dicks Wildflower…”

The experience when you come into the store is personal and very interesting;Barb’s hobbies are incorporated into the shop and spring and summer customers can find native butterflies in various stages of development and often people can release them out the front door.
